A Short and Important Message

I had a weekend where a situation occurred I had to re-evaluate the things that matter in my life. Everyone is going through something. Be kind. Make sure you tell the people close to you that they matter and are deserving and amazing. Compliment that girls outfit if you like it. Hug everyone a little tighter. The world can be a hurtful and dark place for some and try your best to be a light for them, yes, but also for yourself. Better yourself and you will automatically better others.

I find that quotes can speak volumes so I found some to share with you that stood out to me.

“Life is mostly froth and bubble,
Two things stand like stone.
Kindness in another’s trouble,
Courage in your own.”
Adam Lindsay Gordon

“You cannot do a kindness too soon, for you never know how soon it will be too late.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson

Say, “I love you”, “I’m sorry”, “I appreciate you”, “I’m proud of you”…whatever you’re feeling. Send random texts, write a cute note, embrace your truth and share it…cause a smile today for someone else…and give plenty of hugs.”
Steve Maraboli

“There is nothing so rewarding as to make people realize that they are worthwhile in this world.”
Bob Anderson

Remember to always be strong even when it seems like nothing is going right. You are not alone.Talk to people who make you feel safe and loved if you are troubled. They only want the best for you.

Sometimes it’s hard to know how to help someone you love who is struggling. The first step is to let them know that you are there for them. Don’t take anything personally if they don’t want to talk or open up because everyone copes differently and has different ways of feeling better. You may be worried you won’t say the right thing but that is okay. As long as they know you are there if they need you, you have made a tremendous impact.

If you need help, seek it even if that may seem like the hardest thing to do. Here is a link to national hotlines to call if you are in trouble and feel like you have no one else to turn to.

Be strong. Be kind. Love and be loved. Everything will be okay in the end. If it’s not okay, it’s not the end.

Much love to all. xo
